What is a Trip Takeover?
A takeover is when a travel advisor reaches out to a hotel or cruise line directly to attach themselves to a client’s already existing reservation.
Through a process called Hotel Reservation Takeover or Cruise Reservation Takeover, as a travel advisor I can take over your existing reservation and apply special amenities and perks available from Fora Partners and support your booking from that point on!
What are the benefits?
There are many benefits to a hotel or cruise line takeover for the client. Depending on the brand, perks can include:
Complimentary daily breakfast for two
Resort credits
Complimentary room upgrades, depending on availability
Early check-in, late check-out
Complimentary drink at the bar
and many others!
When can a Takeover be applied?
A takeover can be applied to reservations that were booked directly with the hotel or cruise line. Unfortunately, a takeover cannot be applied to reservations through third-party booking sites, such as Expedia, Orbitz, and Priceline.
